Mantra Band

Mantra is a well-known Indo-Nepalese rock and roll band from Darjeeling, India. The band, which was founded in 2000, has written numerous well-known songs. Sanskriti,timi bina, Bir Gorkhali, and Ekantama are a few among them. The song Bir Gorkhali, which first appeared on their debut album Mantra, was later included on Prashant Tamang's solo album "Dhanyabad," the season three winner of Indian Idol. Bhasker Dewan, who sings lead, is joined by Pragya Lama on guitars, Birju Chowdhary on drums, Manish Thapa on piano, Bidhan on flute and saxophone, and Pravash Subba on bass. Sudarshan Tamang writes the lyrics for the band's songs on a regular basis. One of the band's original members and former drummer is Bishal Thapa.
