Neith

Nikita Shrestha gave herself the artist name NEITH. She was born and raised in Jhapa, and at the age of 8, she began singing. She began her own guitar studies when she was 11 years old. Neith, who has always been captivated by noises and vibrations, began writing songs in eighth grade. After graduating from high school, she relocated to Dharan to pursue an engineering degree. She started improvising with other musicians there. In order to continue her education, she eventually moved to Kathmandu in 2015. There, she met Riken Maharjan and started the post-rock band "Space." She also performs as the lead singer and guitarist for the group "Trees," a collection of acoustic and Eastern classical music infused with Neo Folk influences. She is currently composing music for herself as well.
